Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
- Side Effects:
- Stomach upset, Dryness in mouth, Fatigue, Dizziness, Sedation, Allergic reaction.
- How to use:
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- How it works:
- Relent 5 mg/60 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cetirizine and ambroxol which relieve cough. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

- Q. Can I drink alcohol while taking Relent Tablet? No, avoid drinking alcohol while taking Relent Tablet. Drinking alcohol will increase the severity of drowsiness/sleepiness caused by Relent Tablet. Q. Can I breastfeed while taking Relent Tablet? No, it is not advisable to breastfeed while using Relent Tablet. This medicine contains Cetirizine, an antihistamine, which can pass into the breast milk and may harm the baby. Inform your doctor that you are breastfeeding if you are advised to take this medicine.
