Description:
Budetrol 200 Inhaler combines two medications in a single inhaler. It alleviates the long-term symptoms of asthma and COPD, making breathing more comfortable. It acts by blocking the release of chemical messengers that promote inflammation (swelling) and relaxing the muscles in the airways.
Your doctor will advise you how often you should take your inhaler. This medication's effect may be visible after a few days, but it will not be fully effective for several weeks. To be successful, this medication must be taken on a daily basis, therefore continue taking it even if you don't feel any effects. That suggests it is doing its job. If you stop taking it, your symptoms can worsen. This medication should not be taken to treat abrupt shortness of breath. If you have sudden shortness of breath, use your rescue inhaler. To get the most out of this medication, make sure you have the proper inhaler technique; otherwise, it will not perform as effectively.
The most common adverse effects are headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, and a respiratory tract infection. If you get there, don't stop taking it, but consult your doctor. You can avoid some of these symptoms by washing your mouth and throat with water or brushing your teeth after using an inhaler. There are other, less common, but potentially significant adverse effects. If you have any concerns, speak with your doctor.
Before taking medication, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems so that your doctor can prescribe an appropriate amount for you. You should also notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Budetrol 200 Inhaler is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
- How to use:
- Check the label for directions before use. Shake the inhaler. While you are breathing in from mouth, press down on the inhaler one time to release the medication and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as suggested by the doctor.Afterwards, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.
- How it works:
- Budetrol 200 Inhaler combines two medications: formoterol and budesonide. Formoterol is a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways and expands them. Budesonide is a steroid. It acts by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that promote inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.
