Description:
YAZ Tablet is a combination of two medications used to prevent pregnancy and treat irregular periods. It helps to prevent the egg from being released and fertilised.
YAZ Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time for the best results. It should be taken according to your doctor's instructions. You must begin taking the pill on the first day of your menstrual cycle and continue for the duration of the month. Once the pack is finished, start a fresh one. If you vomit within four hours of taking the dose, take another tablet. If you missed your dose and are 12 hours late in taking it, use a condom during intercourse for two days.
Some of the most common side effects of this medication include nausea, headaches, breast soreness, mood swings, vaginal discharge, and vaginal yeast infections. If these concern you or appear serious, consult your doctor. There could be techniques to reduce or prevent them. Spotting or bleeding may occur between menstrual periods, as well as missed periods. Consult your doctor if this happens frequently or lasts for an extended period of time. Inform your doctor if you develop swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, or vision problems, as these could be signs of a blood clot.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you smoke and are above the age of 35, if you have had a heart attack, or if you have uterine/cervical or vaginal cancer. Your doctor should also be aware of any other medications you are taking, as many of them may reduce the effectiveness of this medication or alter its mechanism of action. If you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this medication. During treatment, you may be requested for regular blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar checks.
