Silverex SSD Cream is only intended for external usage and should be applied as directed by your doctor. Only apply a thin layer of medicine to the afflicted regions of the skin with clean, dry hands. Wash your hands before and after using the medication. If it gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina, rinse with water. Your symptoms may not improve for several days or weeks, but you should continue to use this medication on a regular basis. - Silverex SSD Cream is a combination of two antibiotics: Chlorhexidine Gluconate and Silver Sulfadiazine. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant which works by binding strongly with skin. It kills infectious microorganisms and effectively cleans out cuts, wounds and burns to prevent them from getting infected. Silver Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial multiplication.
