Junior Lanzol 30mg Tablet DT is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for treating acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and some other stomach conditions associated with excessive acid production
Uses / Indications:
Junior Lanzol 30mg Tablet DT is used in the treatment of acidity, heartburn and stomach ulcers.
Interactions / Warnings:
Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Junior Lanzol 30mg Tablet DT is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention. Junior lanzol can decrease magnesium levels in blood. Get your magnesium levels checked regularly. You may need a magnesium supplement or need to discontinue your medicine. Inform your doctor if you are suffering from osteoporosis as Junior lanzol can weaken your bones by decreasing calcium levels in blood. You may need a calcium supplement, preferably calcium citrate. Junior lanzol is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time. It may take a few days to show its effect. You can take an antacid for a quick relief during this time unless your doctor has asked you not to use them. Once you start feeling better, do not stop taking your medicine. Take it for the duration as advised by your doctor

It is also used to treat a disease associated with excessive acid production in the stomach known as Zollinger Ellison syndrome (ZES). It works by reducing the amount of acid made by your stomach. Q. How is Junior Lanzol 30mg Tablet DT given through the nasogastric tube? Your doctor or nurse will show you the correct way of giving Junior Lanzol 30mg Tablet DT through the nasogastric (NG) tube. Open the Junior Lanzol 30mg Tablet DT capsule and empty the granules into a syringe. Mix the contents with apple juice in the syringe and attach it to the NG tube and give directly into the stomach. Once given, flush the NG tube with more apple juice to clear the tube.
