Description:
T-Bact 2% Ointment is an antibiotic that is used to treat various skin infections, including impetigo (red sores), recurring boils, and others. It works by destroying specific germs. This improves your symptoms and cures the underlying infection.
T-Bact 2% Ointment is intended for external use only. It should be used exclusively to the affected area of the skin, following your doctor's instructions for dosage and schedule. To maximise its effectiveness, use it on a regular basis, preferably at the same time every day. Use no more than the recommended amount, use it more frequently, or for a longer period of time. This will only raise the likelihood of adverse repercussions. Do not use it for longer than 10 days. Avoid all contact with your eyes, nose, and mouth. If you accidently get medicine in these locations, rinse it off with water.

- Pregnancy interaction:
- T-Bact 2% Ointment is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
- Expert advice:
- T-Bact 2% Ointment is used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the medicine at least 3 times a day. A dressing can be applied over the treated area if needed. Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas. It can cause slight irritation at the application site. Let your doctor know if the irritation does not go away. Do not use for more than 10 days. Throw away any cream that is left over. If your skin condition does not improve within 3 to 5 days, see your doctor.
