Description:
Lubrifresh Gel, sometimes known as fake tears, is an eye lubricant used to treat dryness. This can occur when insufficient tears are produced to keep the eye moist. It helps to relieve the discomfort and burning associated with dry eyes by keeping the eyes properly lubricated.
Lubrifresh Gel is normally taken as needed. Use the number of drops prescribed by your doctor. Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering any further medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Before opening a bottle, be sure the seal is intact. Always wash your hands and avoid touching the end of the dropper. This may infect your eye. This medication may be used for an extended period of time and can be taken safely for as long as necessary.
The most common adverse effects of using this medication include eye irritation (burning and discomfort), eye pain, eye itching, and visual disruption. They are usually transient and dissolve with time. However, let your doctor know if the symptoms persist or worsen. Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in any activity that demands clear vision unless you are confident you can do so safely. If your situation does not improve or you are bothered by the side effects, see your doctor.
This medication is unlikely to interact with or be affected by any medications you take, but tell your doctor if you have ever had glaucoma. Do not use it when using soft contact lenses, and consult your doctor if you get an eye infection while using it.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Information regarding the use of Lubrifresh Gel during pregnancy is not available. Please consult your doctor.
- How to use:
- This medication is intended for external use only. Use it at the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Before using, double-check the directions on the label. Hold the dropper close to your eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and insert the medication into the lower eyelid. Wipe away the excess liquid.
- How it works:
- Lubrifresh Gel is a lubricant. It functions similarly to natural tears, providing short relief from burning and discomfort caused by dryness of the eye.
